Plymouth Literature Festival
Welcome to PlymLit17
Festival Partners
This October lovers of literature will once again have the perfect opportunity to indulge their passion for words at the Plymouth Literature Festival.

We anticipate PlymLit17 will be a nine-day literary feast for writers and readers.

Just like last year, we are aiming to put together a programme that will offer something for readers of novels, historical and sports books through to writers of flash fiction, poetry and comedy.

And the Festival will have more events this year for children – readers and writers – during the half-term week.

The Festival will travel around the city, with a mission to engage local writers and readers. It can help writers to develop and showcase their talent and allow readers to discover new authors, venues and organisations. It is a wonderful catalyst for bringing writers, readers and groups together to build a legacy for literature in the city.

Once again, it is only thanks to the support of award-winning house builder Redrow, the main sponsors of the Festival, that we can produce such a wide-ranging programme. It is fantastic that a company with the size and profile of Redrow is supporting the Festival. We are very thankful for their backing.

We are also extremely grateful for the help and support provided by a growing number of Festival Partners, whose assistance goes such a long way to making PlymLit17 such a great event.

No festival can take place without the passion and inspiration of the dedicated volunteers who make it happen. So I send a special word of thanks to William Telford, Catherine Allen, Angela Heighway and new recruit Kevin Kelway.

Events will regularly be added to the programme in the coming weeks, so keep following this site and our Twitter (@PlymLit17) and Facebook (@plymlit17) pages.
